Delaware State Education Association Leadership Visits Iowa

On Sunday, October 28th leadership of the Delaware State Education Association arrived in Iowa to spend a week of their personal time to campaign for their favorite son, United States Senator Joe Biden, candidate for President of the United States.

DSEA President Barbara Grogg (center) and DSEA Vice President Diane Donohue (on the right) have been given a jam-packed schedule by the Biden campaign for the two of them to speak with educators throughout the state of Iowa.

Today I had a chance to host my Delaware counterparts at the ISEA headquarters for introductions and a brief tour. Following our tour ISEA Executive Director Jan Reinicke and I treated our Delaware friends for lunch at Latin King in Des Moines.

President Barbara and Vice President Diane were then off to Washington, Iowa to meet with educators at the end of the school day before meeting with the Washington County Democratic Central Committee.

The DSEA leaders head back home to Delaware on Saturday morning. It was a treat to give them a glimpse of what our Iowa Caucuses are all about!
