At 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 29th, the Saydel EA hosted a breakfast of bagels and cream cheese for staff at Woodside Middle School. Here I was joined by Polk Suburban UniServ Directors Wayne Bauman and Peri Van Tassel.
Saydel EA President Rich Wilson and Woodside Middle School 7th grade Science teacher greeted us as we arrived on Thursday. We had a chance to visit with Rich and other Saydel EA leaders in the staff lounge as readied for their school day.
Pictured below (left to right) are Anne Daluga, Saydel EA Vice President and 8th grade Science teacher and Linda Reid, Polk Suburban Vice President and 6th grade teacher.
Following our visit with Middle School staff, UniServ Director Peri Van Tassel and I were off to Norwoodville Elementary.
Norwoodville Elementary is the building for the Saydel Upper Elementary students. Here I had the chance to visit five different classrooms all working with 5th grade students. We happened upon the time of day for Reading! Pictured below (from left to right) are Marilyn Jungman's Reading group and Christina Glaub's Reading group.
Next we were off to the 5th grade classrooms of (left to right) Mallory Stubers, pictured with her homeroom of 5th graders and Stacy Lindahl, also pictured with her homeroom of 5th grade.
Our final classroom visit took us into the room of our hostess, Frankie Wolver. Frankie serves on the Negotiations team for the Saydel EA in addition to her classroom responsibilities at both Norwoodville Elementary and Cornell Elementary. Frankie teaches both Math and Vocabulary Enrichment to 4th and 5th grade students along with serving as the Talented and Gifted teacher.
