Our last school visit of the day on Wednesday, November 28th was to the community of Bussey and the Twin Cedars Community School District. South Central UniServ Director Jim Crotty (on the left) and I were greeted by local leader Mike Bennett (on the right). Twin Cedars EA has much to celebrate, up TEN in membership! Way to go Twin Cedars EA leaders!
The after school gathering brought together nearly two dozen members at the Elementary building. It was a great opportunity for Director Crotty and I to thank them for their membership, but also to thank them for all they do every day for Iowa's students. As we know, teachers often feel isolated in their classrooms--working so hard for their student's success they don't make the time to connect with their colleagues. This after school gathering was a perfect time to share their ups and downs of the school day!
