Dining Out With Association Leaders Who Are Now Friends

When I began serving as ISEA president in June 2004 many association leaders were familiar faces. Being involved over the years in ISEA state committees, ISEA-PAC, Delegate Assembly, and the NEA Representative Assembly--so many of the leaders were familiar. Now after four years in office, I consider our association leaders my friends.

In 2004 when first elected ISEA president, Dianne Callahan (on the right) was seated at the same table at Delegate Assembly. Dianne was there to give that warm smile, a nod of agreement, and the reassurance that all would be fine. Diane is a high school Business teacher in Western Dubuque in Epworth and Vice President of JDC UniServ Unit. I consider Dianne an extra special friend!

Sandy Ross (on the left) is a newer friend--current president of the Western Dubuque EA and a Middle School Science teacher in Farley.

Tuesday evening these two great leader/friends made arrangements to take me out for dinner at Red Robin in Dubuque.
