One of the last areas to explore on the Kirkwood campus was the Agriculture Science division. Instructor Anne Duffy (pictured at left) lead us through areas of cages and cages of critters! There were areas for dogs and other areas for cats, as well as some exotic creatures too. It was the kind of place I would feel comfortable in looking to adopt a pet--well cared for and oftened cuddled and loved--the critters were given TLC!
Ann walked us through the great and magnicent Equistrian building. A huge fundraising effort was led by Clarke McCloud, funds were secured and today Kirkwood Community College and the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area are benefiting.
Student Nicki is pictured (at right) with her horse Boo. Nicki shared how she is grateful for the opportunity to participate in classes not only in the Equistrian area, but in all areas of campus at Kirkwood.
Thanks Kirkwood Faculty Association for your leadership every day in the classroom as well as on behalf of Team ISEA!
