The end of our day on February 28th, Fat Tuesday, the College Community Education Association had an all member meeting at the Country Inn in Cedar Rapids. There was food and beverages, as well as streamers, beads...the whole nine yards! It was a festive place! I had a chance to reconnect with College Community EA president, Noreen Colbeck-Bush (pictured at left) as we got into the spirit of the celebration. If you haven't met Noreen, she is one enthusiastic leader!
An association leader that I had the chance to meet for the first time is College Community EA Chief Negotiator, Shawn Thomsen (pictured at right). Shawn Thomsen and Noreen Colbeck-Bush not only work together to provide leadership for the association, but they team up together at Prairie High School to lead the Success Center.
Thank you both, Noreen and Shawn for your leadership in and outside the classroom.
A very large group of members gathered to discuss issues from their classroom as well as the impact that both state and the federal government are having on their student's education. Thanks for the work you do every day, College Community EA leaders!
