Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn EA Visit Brings Together Members for an After School Meet and Greet

At the end of the school day on Wednesday, August 29th, Elementary, Middle and High School members of the HMS EA gathered at the Hartley High School to share successes and concerns with Northern Pride UniServ Director Mora Zinn and me.

The HMS EA leaders did a terrific job of extending the invitation to meet. Kathy Wacker (on the right) 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher serves as president of the HMS EA and Kim Cougill (on the left) is a 5th grade teacher.

Molly Mulqueen (at left) has the most varied teaching assignments; Sr. High Resource, HS General Ed, Elementary and High School Talented and Gifted. She really does it all!

Mary Steinbeck (at right) now teaches High School Spanish. Mary shared that at one time she taught Spanish in the Elementary building, then as there were budget cuts...she then taught Middle School Spanish.

Other HMS EA members that we had the opportunity to visit with were: Sandy Mohni (at left) is an Elementary Resource Room teacher, Chantal Orthmann (center) 3rd grade teacher, and Judy Peters (at right) Pre-Kindergarten teacher.

Adam Zelmer (at left) High School Business Education teacher and Diane Rossman (on right) 3rd grade teacher added to our conversation too. Adam attended his first ISEA Summer Conference in Storm Lake this year. I believe he is "hooked" and aren't we lucky to have a young person taking on association leadership roles!

Thanks, HMS EA for the chance to meet each one of you! We are fortunate to have you as leaders on Team ISEA!
