Honoring a Tremendous Educator for their TEAM Effort

At the end of the school day Tuesday, nearly 75 teachers, support staff, administrators, community members, and students gathered in the Media Center of the Lone Tree Community Schools to give honor to a great administrator.

Mr. Tom Dickey (pictured at right) middle school Civics teacher submitted the nomination of Mr. Mark Hopkins to ISEA for the ISEA TEAM Award. The ISEA TEAM award is for Together Educators and Administrators Make It Happen!

In the nomination letter, Mr. Dickey wrote, "Mr. Mark Hopkins has brought leadership, organization, enthusiasm, and compassion to our school. Our staff has tremendous faith in his ability as our building leader. He arrives very early, stays way late, and is here at least one day every weekend. Mr. Hopkins is the anchor that keeps our ship on an even keel."

Mark Hopkins is indeed a Team leader and today the 32,000 members of ISEA joined with the Lone Tree community team in lifting Mark Hopkins up on their shoulders in heartfelt appreciation and well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations, Mr. Mark Hopkins, 2007 ISEA TEAM Award winner!
