Siouxland UniServ Tour Begins With Relaxing Lunch With Northwest AEA Association Leaders

On Tuesday March 27th my tour of Siouxland UniServ Unit began with a relaxing lunch with association leaders from the newly merged Northwest AEA. Marlin Jeffers, president of both the Professional Staff Association (PSA) at Northwest AEA and of Siouxland UniServ Unit, arranged the lunch meeting at Bev's on the River in Sioux City. This picture (on the right) should have been where Marlin Jeffers' picture appeared, only I forgot to take his photo! Sorry, Marlin.

Joining us were Georganne Welding (on left) associate in Media Services and Debbie Gibson (on right) associate in the Professional Library. Debbie is the president of the Associates Professional Staff Association (APSA) at Northwest AEA.

Wanda Synhorst (on left) is a retired high school Science teacher from Council Bluffs and a long-time friend of mine. Wanda is my guest for the week as I travel throughout Siouxland. Also joining us was Terri Porter (on right) a Speech Pathologist at Northwest AEA and vice president of PSA.

Siouxland UniServ Director Bruce Lear and Flora Lee, Siouxland UniServ Vice President and Northwest AEA teacher trainer enjoyed conversation during our lunch meeting.

Our gathering was a great chance to connect with strong leaders that work side-by-side as certified and support staff--and they truly appreciate the work that one another does. Bravo, APSA and PSA!

Marlin, I thought that was your cutest picture ever! Terri and Georganne, I really enjoyed visiting with you about our mutual interests. I hope we cross paths again. Wanda Synhorst
